Laplace is organized into menus in the left rail: Data Connect, which integrates your commerce data; Dashboard, which automatically visualizes your connected data; Custom dashboard, where you build your own charts and reports; Data management, where you do the matching needed to calculate margin rate, contribution margin, and more; Alerts, which deliver metrics to you; AI agent, which analyzes data through conversation; and Settings, where you manage your account and projects.
{% endhint %}

## Basic screen layout

![Laplace basic screen layout: left rail, navigation panel, top bar](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-346c30ac2f5fe8741a56fd6354248e3cde104221%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__01.png?alt=media)

Every Laplace screen uses the same layout, whatever menu you're in.

1. **Left rail**: The column of icons on the far left of the screen. From the top: **Data Connect** · **Dashboard** · **Custom dashboard** · **Data management** · **Alerts** · **AI agent**, with **Settings** at the bottom.
2. **Navigation panel**: The menu that opens next to the rail. It shows the submenus of the area you chose in the rail, and you can find menus with the search box at the top.
3. **Top bar**: The row at the top of the screen. From the left: the ☰ button, your current location, **Search menus & dashboards**, **Guide**, **Contact us**, **Jobs & data status**, and your account menu.

### Using the top bar

* **Search menus & dashboards**: Type a page name, such as a dashboard, setting, or connection, to go there directly. You can also open it with <kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>/</kbd>.
* **Guide**: Opens this user guide in a new window.
* **Jobs & data status**: Shows the status of in-progress data connections and statistics generation in one place. Click it to open the list, and use **View connection** to go to that connection's screen.
* **Close sidebar** / **Open sidebar**: Collapse and expand the navigation panel with the ☰ button on the left of the top bar. Use it when you want more screen space. You can also press <kbd>\[</kbd>.

![The Jobs & data status list opened from the top bar](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-d4280df23bb15cbf2a8808a8b012f83100cbe467%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__02.png?alt=media)

{% hint style="info" %}
Check whether a data connection has finished or statistics are fully generated in **Jobs & data status** on the right of the top bar. Jobs keep running even if you go to another screen or close the window.
{% endhint %}

## Language

<figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-1e4b2338998d3a26f61750dc1337a16d932ced11%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__03.png?alt=media" alt="Choosing **Language** in **My profile** › **Display**" width="645"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can view Laplace in 한국어 (Korean) · English · 日本語 · 简体中文 · 繁體中文. On your first visit, it starts in your browser's language.

1. Click **Settings** at the bottom of the left rail.
2. Click **My account** › **My profile** in the navigation panel.
3. Click **Edit** in **Display**, choose the language you want in **Language**, then click **Save**.

{% hint style="info" %}

* The language you choose is saved only in this browser. Choose it again on other computers or browsers.
* **Time display** is fixed to **Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9)**. Even if you change the language, all times are shown in KST.

## Data Connect

![](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-818cc4ebded61cf912fd2cbb1d22844873fc1e20%2Fb04a73d11252.png?alt=media)

Laplace connects to online stores, ad channels, store management solutions, and even data analytics solutions. Instead of logging in to each channel's admin page and downloading spreadsheets by hand, link your accounts once in Laplace and manage data from every channel conveniently.

1. To see which online stores are available, check the [**Store connection guide**](/guide/en/startguide/connect/mall.md).
2. To see which ad channels are available, check the [**Ad channel connection guide**](/guide/en/startguide/connect/ad.md).
3. To see which store management solutions are available, check the [**Store management solution connection guide**](/guide/en/startguide/connect/solution.md).
4. To see which event data is available, check the [**Event connection guide**](/guide/en/startguide/connect/events.md).
5. To see which databases are available, check the [**DB connection guide**](/guide/en/startguide/connect/db.md).

{% hint style="danger" %}
Some charts are available as soon as you connect data. However, to see the financial metrics that are core to commerce, such as margin and contribution margin, you need to complete matching in Data management.\

## Dashboard

<figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5797306448cd78b14aa43b154a42cc36f01a8664%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__04.png?alt=media" alt="**Summary dashboard** screen" width="645"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Track the metrics you want quickly and easily, without a data analyst. Laplace automatically handles complex queries and data preprocessing. Try the various charts and focus on finding problems and planning your business strategy.

* See data from all your sales channels combined on a single page.
* Beyond product- and option-level analysis, check key metrics such as margin rate and contribution margin rate by product, option, and base product, using metrics like cohort analysis and cross-selling.
* Check metrics by ad channel, campaign, and creative, and quickly see which campaigns and creatives perform well.
* Laplace's advanced algorithm accurately identifies a single customer who bought from multiple sales channels, enabling accurate analysis without duplicates.

For more on each chart's features, analysis methods, and usage, see the [**Using dashboards guide**](/guide/en/dashboard/dashboard.md)!

## Custom dashboard

<figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-1617e0c7984d3fed430023dcdecace8b3ffece97%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__05.png?alt=media" alt="Custom dashboard screen" width="645"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Use a variety of chart types and templates to create the reports you want right away. Analyze sales, product, ad, and financial performance quickly and easily: without BI tools like Looker or Tableau, and without an in-house data analyst.

* Create custom reports and charts for each person or team.
* Build charts using order, ad, base product, and event data.
* Visualize data with line, bar, multi, column, scorecard, bump, pie, map, quadrant, Pareto, calendar, and waterfall charts, and tables.
* In a chart's **Analytics mode**, you can also build **Cohort** · **Funnel** · **Flow** · **Cross-selling** · **Repurchase cycle** · **Growth capacity** analyses directly.

## Data management

![](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-eb6c725dcb57f0616f70b0b6ae15a927f1a8bac9%2Fddb617beb006.png?alt=media)

This step is required to calculate margin and contribution margin. Connected channels don't provide the cost of the products you sell or which product detail page each ad creative lands on, so you need to register this information and do the matching in Laplace before margin and contribution margin can be calculated.

<figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ca644fd8ede968ebef28eaa8a589f45a80f31e90%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__06.png?alt=media" alt="Data management **Setup status** screen" width="645"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Click **Data management** in the left rail and **Setup status** opens first. See at a glance how much of your cost, matching, and fees are reflected in the numbers, and go directly to the task you need to do now.
* The navigation panel is divided into **Matching · cost** (**Base product** · **Option ↔ base product matching** · **Ad ↔ product matching**), **Fees · FX**, and **Customers · standards**.
* Measure margin/contribution margin by sales channel, product, and option.
* With category settings, set custom categories such as each product's owner and product category, so you can classify products and measure performance however you like.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you use EasyAdmin, data is imported automatically, so you can use Laplace without matching! However, you need to complete **Ad ↔ product matching** to measure contribution margin.\

{% endhint %}

## Alerts

<figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-ee43060fed32d531c14e2d5cf644ecfc048df6a1%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__07.png?alt=media" alt="**Alert list** screen" width="645"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Receive the metrics you need to check every day without looking them up yourself.

* In **New alert**, create an alert of the type you want: **Scheduled report** · **Value** · **Anomaly**.
* See the alerts you created in **Alert list** and the sent ones in **Send history**.

For details, see the [**Alert settings guide**](/guide/en/etc/alert.md).

## AI agent

<figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e41c5d4ec301715fed61d45209a354dbd22b840e%2Fbeforestart__onboarding__08.png?alt=media" alt="**AI agent** conversation screen" width="645"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Ask questions about your connected data in conversation and get analysis results. Ask about a metric in a sentence, and the AI agent queries the data and answers.

## Settings

In **Settings** at the bottom of the left rail, manage your account, data sources, alert channels, members and permissions, plan and billing, and more. For the layout of the settings menu, see the [**Settings menu overview**](/guide/en/etc/settings.md).
