# Scorecard

{% hint style="info" %}
Useful for tracking cumulative statistics for the selected date range in card form. Because you can see several measures for the period at once, it's well suited to checking performance. In the chart type grid, it appears as **Card**.
{% endhint %}

## How to use <a href="#guide" id="guide"></a>

Once you've set the data source, dimensions and data filters on the Data tab, click **Card** in the type grid on the **Chart** tab of the settings panel on the right.

Scorecards visualize data cumulatively only. We recommend setting the date range and comparison period before you review the chart.

1. Click the **Chart** tab in the settings panel on the right, then click **Card** in the type grid.

2. Under **Visualization**, select **Segment cards** or **Measure cards**.

   ![Visualization](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-aefe234eac8b13f1a54252457ab228a979854074%2Fcustomdashboard__custom__chart__scorecard__02.png?alt=media)

{% hint style="info" %}

* **Segment cards**: Creates one card per dimension (segment) to compare the same measure. Use it when you want to compare several channels or products.
* **Measure cards**: Creates one card per measure to view several metrics for one dimension together. Use it when you want to see a single channel's or product's performance at a glance.
  {% endhint %}

3. Select a measure.

   ![Selecting a measure](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-bdaf44b5391c512179d76f03699d85d3b89d6640%2Fcustomdashboard__custom__chart__scorecard__03.png?alt=media)
4. Choose a comparison period under **Compare** in the date bar above the chart, and each card shows the change against the comparison period. Under **Vs. previous**, choose whether to show **Δ% vs. previous** (rate of change) or **Δ vs. previous** (change in value).

## Goal tiles <a href="#goal" id="goal"></a>

This view pairs actuals with targets and shows **attainment · status · a progress bar** on each tile. It's handy for checking how much of a set goal, such as a monthly revenue target, you've reached.

{% hint style="warning" %}
You need target values. First prepare targets with a measure that joins a target sheet source, or with a [custom formula](/guide/en/customdashboard/custom/custom_formula.md).
{% endhint %}

1. Under **View** on the **Chart** tab, select **Goal tiles**. The default card style is **Standard tiles**.

   ![Selecting Goal tiles under View](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-baeedf550c0b6a46bc8ca1c39c16668bd0821102%2Fcustomdashboard__custom__chart__scorecard__05.png?alt=media)
2. Under **Actual ↔ target pairs**, choose an **Actual** measure and a **Target** measure. To add a pair, click **Add pair**.

   <figure><img src="https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-7541d67fd1e0b44280418c75d472ea07018e506c%2Fcustomdashboard__custom__chart__scorecard__06.png?alt=media" alt="Actual and target pairs" width="278"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
3. Set the **Direction** for each pair. For metrics where bigger is better, like revenue, choose **Higher is better**; for metrics where smaller is better, like return rate, choose **Lower is better**.
4. Under **Attainment colors**, set **Warning from** and **Met from** (%). Each tile's status is shown as **Met · Warning · Missed**.

   ![Goal tiles](https://616205588-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2Fqr1veGyUqCNwQBBmk3yt%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-8b0c7289ac3dd9a787adf56889e7b4ab29517072%2Fcustomdashboard__custom__chart__scorecard__07.png?alt=media)

{% hint style="info" %}

* If there are only two measures, the first is automatically paired as the actual and the second as the target.
* When pairs with matching names are found, a suggestion appears; click **Apply** to pair them all at once.
* If the target or actual is 0 or less, only the difference is shown instead of the attainment rate.
* You can change the tile order under **Tile order**.
  {% endhint %}
