# Pivot table

A pivot table automatically aggregates a long list of orders into summary statistics.

## How to use <a href="#guide" id="guide"></a>

On the **Table** tab of the settings panel on the right side of the chart editor, set **Table type** to **Pivot**, then use the settings below.

### Table view

**Table view** offers 3 options: **Standard**, **Treemap**, and **Merged**.

1. **Standard**: A regular table.

2. **Treemap**: A collapsible table with breakdowns arranged in a tree structure. **Treemap** is available only when there are at least 2 row dimensions.

3. **Merged**: A table in which each breakdown is merged into a single cell.

### View settings

1. **PoP display**: Shows values compared with the previous period in the table. Choose from **Change rate**, **Change**, and **Single row**.

PoP is enabled only after you set a comparison period in **Compare** on the period bar above the chart.

2. **Show totals**: Choose whether to show or hide totals in the table. Choose from **Show at bottom**, **Show at top**, and **Hidden**.
3. **Grand total**: Choose whether to show or hide the grand total in the table.
4. **Show subtotals**: Choose whether to show a subtotal for each group. (Subtotals are available only in the Merged view.)
5. **Show % contribution**: Treats the total of each measure as 100 and shows what % each breakdown's value accounts for.
6. **Heatmap**: Colors high and low values differently so you can quickly gauge the performance of each measure's values.

7. **Sort by**: Choose the sort basis. You can sort by the selected measure or **Alphabetical**.
8. **Header color**: Set the header color.
9. **Show measures as rows**: Display measures, normally shown as columns, as rows.

### Column settings

Set which columns to show and hide in the table.

1. **Pinned columns**: Choose columns that stay fixed when you scroll the table. (Available only in the Standard view.)
2. **Show in table**: Set the columns to show in the table. Drag them in the list to show or hide them, or click the eye icon next to each column.
3. **Hide from table**: Set the columns to hide from the table. Drag them in the list to show or hide them, or click the eye icon next to each column.

A pivot table splits breakdowns between **Rows (dimension)** and **Columns (dimension)**. Move them with **To columns →** and **← To rows**, and manage measures in **Show measures** and **Hide measures**.
