# Settings menu overview

Click **Settings** at the bottom of the left rail to open the settings menu in the navigation panel. The settings menu is split into **My account**, which is shared across all projects, and **Project settings**, which applies only to the project you're currently viewing.

## Settings menu structure <a href="#structure" id="structure"></a>

The settings menu has 6 groups.

* Above the 5 groups from **Data** to **Project & billing**, you'll see **Project settings** · **Applies to this project only** along with the current project name. When you switch projects, the content of these groups changes too.
* You can also jump directly to some settings screens from the account menu at the right of the top bar.

## Finding a menu with settings search <a href="#search" id="search"></a>

1. Click the **Search settings** field at the top of the settings menu. You can also press <kbd>/</kbd> to move to the search field.
2. Enter the menu name you're looking for or a related word. Even if it isn't a menu name, you can search with words that appear on the screen, such as "receipt", "card", "invite", or "audit log".

3. When only the matching menus remain, click one to go there. Press <kbd>Enter</kbd> to go straight to the first menu.

To also search screens outside settings (dashboards, data connections, etc.), use **Search menus & dashboards** in the top bar (<kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>/</kbd>).

## Menus visible by permission <a href="#permission" id="permission"></a>

Which items appear in the settings menu depends on your account's role and permissions. If you can't see a menu, check the table below.

* Anyone can view **AI memory** and **Project knowledge**, but editing and running them requires AI usage permission.
* You can check which permissions you have in **My account** › **My permissions**. If you lack a permission you need, ask the project owner or an admin.

## Old menu → new menu mapping <a href="#old-to-new" id="old-to-new"></a>

Settings menu names and locations have changed. Even if you open a bookmarked old address, you're automatically redirected to the new menu screen.
