# Connect Kakao Shopping (Talk Store, Gift)

## Kakao Shopping (Talk Store, Gift) connection guide

1. Click **Data Connect** in the left rail, then type Kakao Shopping in **Search connectors** in the navigation panel, or click **Kakao Shopping Connect** in the **Connect your store** category.

If you haven't connected an account yet, the connector screen shows **What you can analyze once connected**. Click **View sample** to preview, with sample data, the screens available after connecting. Also check **How to connect** and **Before you start** at the bottom of the screen for the connection steps and what to prepare.

2. To find your API key, go to the [Kakao Shopping Seller Center](https://shopping-sell.kakao.com/hub).

3. After signing in, go to 정보관리 (Information management) on the screen shown below.

   * For both Gift and Store, go to 정보관리 (Information management) in the same way.
4. On the screen below, go to **정보관리 (Information management) -> 접근 허용 API 선택 (Select allowed APIs) -> 인증키 발급 (Issue key)**.

* For a smooth data connection, allow access to both the orders and products APIs for the sales channels you use.
* e.g. Sales channel used = KakaoTalk Store ⇒ **check access for both 톡스토어 상품 (Talk Store products) and 톡스토어 주문 (Talk Store orders)**

A Kakao Shopping API key can be **used by up to 3 agencies only**.\

You can request an API key reset from [Kakao Shopping Customer Center](https://ccs.kakao.com/requests?service=149\&locale=en\&country_iso=us).

* Return to Laplace and click **Data Connect** on the right side of the **Kakao Shopping Connect** screen header to open the connection window. **How to connect** at the top of the window shows your current step. In **Enter API key**, enter the **API key** you were issued, then click **Connect Kakao Shopping Account** to start the data connection.

* Connected accounts appear in the connection table on the connector screen. From ⋯ (**More actions**) on the right of a row, you can **Refresh** and **Renew Authentication**.
* Laplace imports all data since the store was founded, so **it can take an hour or more if there's a lot of data**.

**Why does the data connection take so long?**

👉 Laplace doesn't just import your Kakao Shopping data: it also cleans the data and builds charts from it. The more data you have, the longer it may take.

💬 Check progress in **Jobs & data status** on the right of the top bar. We'll also email you when the connection is complete. Collection continues even if you close Laplace, so feel free to close it.
