# Connect SHOPLINE

To connect SHOPLINE, all you need is **one API key (Access Token)** issued in the SHOPLINE admin. Sales in foreign currencies can be converted to Korean won (KRW) with the **Data management** › **Exchange rates** setting, so you can view them alongside your other channels.

## How to connect SHOPLINE

1. Log in to the SHOPLINE admin and go to **Settings > Permission & Security**. Depending on the admin version, it may appear as **Staff Settings**. Click **Add** to add a new staff member.

2. Enter an email address to add the staff member, then select the **API Auth** tab. Check **Give Full Access** and scroll down.

If you don't see the **API Auth** tab, first ask your SHOPLINE representative for OpenAPI access.

3. Click **Generate** at the bottom of the screen to issue a token (Access Token), then copy it.

* Leave the expiry date (**Expired At**) blank. A blank expiry date means the token never expires. If you enter a date, data collection stops on that day.
* Leave the **IP whitelist** that appears after the token is issued blank. Adding entries blocks Laplace's collection servers.

4. Back in Laplace, click **Data Connect** on the left rail, then type SHOPLINE in **Search connectors** in the navigation panel, or click **SHOPLINE Connect** in the **Connect To Global Shopping Mall** category.

5. On the **SHOPLINE Connect** screen, click **Data Connect** on the right of the header to open the connection window. **How to connect** at the top of the window shows which step you're on. In **Enter API key**, paste the copied token into **API key** and click **Connect SHOPLINE account**.

If you haven't connected an account yet, the connector screen shows **What you can analyze once connected**. Click **View sample** to preview, with sample data, the screens you'll see after connecting. Also check **How to connect** and **Before you start** at the bottom of the screen for the connection steps and what to prepare.

* Connected accounts appear in the connection table on the connector screen. Use ⋯ (**More actions**) on the right of a row to **Refresh** or **Renew Authentication**.
* Laplace imports all data since the store opened, so **with a large amount of data it can take more than an hour**.

**Why does the data sync take so long?**

👉 Laplace doesn't just import your SHOPLINE data: it also cleans the imported data and builds charts from it. The more data you have, the longer this can take.

💬 You can track progress in **Jobs & data status** on the right of the top bar, and we'll also email you when the sync is complete. Collection continues even if you close Laplace, so feel free to close it.

## When SHOPLINE can't be connected

**The API key is invalid or expired. Please reissue it in the SHOPLINE admin and try again.** appears.

* The token may have expired or been copied incorrectly.

👉 Issue a new key in the SHOPLINE admin and enter it. Leave the expiry date (Expired At) blank.

**This SHOPLINE store is already connected.** appears.

* The same store is already connected to this project.

👉 Check the existing connection in the connection table on the **SHOPLINE Connect** screen.
