# Sign up

## Create a Laplace account (sign up)

1. On the Laplace website (<https://www.analytics.laplacetec.com/en>), click **`Start free`**.

2. On the **Start your free trial** screen, click **Sign up with Google**, or under **or sign up with email**, enter your **Email** and **Password** and click **Send verification code**.

   * Your password must be at least 8 characters and include a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.
   * If you sign up with a Google account, you skip email verification and go straight to step 4.
3. Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to the email you signed up with on the **Verify your email** screen, then click **Verify**.

The verification code in the email is valid for 2 hours.

* If several emails were sent, enter the code from the most recent one.
* If you don't receive the email, check your **spam folder**. You can get a new code with **Resend code** next to **Didn't get the code?**.

4. On the **Almost there** screen, enter your **Name** and **Company**, agree to the terms, and click **Get started**. Your sign-up is complete and you're taken to Laplace.
