# Alert settings

Laplace provides daily alerts for free. Metrics you should check every day, such as sales summary by store, cumulative ad spend summary for the last 7 days, and daily first-purchase/repurchase summary, are sent every morning as default alerts.

## Alerts are managed in two places

* Default alerts and custom alerts you create are all gathered in **Alert rules**.
* There are three notification channels: email · Slack · Kakao Alimtalk.
## Notification channel guide
1. Click **Settings** at the bottom of the left rail.
2. In the navigation panel, click **Alerts & AI** › **Notification channels**.
3. The screen has three parts.
* **Slack**: Connect the Slack workspace that receives alerts. For details, see [Slack integration](/guide/en/etc/alert/slack.md).
* **Alert rules**: Default alerts and custom alerts are shown together. Turn each on or off with the row toggle; changes are saved immediately. Filter by **Type** (**Scheduled** · **Condition** · **Anomaly**) and **Status**.
* **Contacts**: The email addresses · Kakao Alimtalk numbers · Slack channels that receive alerts. Register one right away with **Add contact**.
4. Check an alert rule's conditions and schedule by clicking **Details** on its row.
5. To create a new alert, click **Add custom alert** or go to **Alerts** in the left rail.

Things to note when setting up alerts
* If you don't have permission to change **Notification channels**, **Read-only** is shown at the top of the screen. You can see the connection status and contacts; to make changes, ask your project admin.
* A contact deleted from **Contacts** is also removed from the alerts that use it.
